A friend of a friend was awarded a Nobel Prize about 10 years ago. After returning to the U.S. from the award ceremony in Stockholm, he had a few hundred pins made up to celebrate the achievement. On it, the Laureate put an image of Alfred Nobel and the line “Paul Won the Swedish Thingy!” When family members, colleagues, students and co-workers, or friends and acquaintances congratulated him, he’s hand them one of the pins.
He even gave one to his barber!
While this fellow took a light-hearted approach, more often a PinProsPlus customer who is celebrating an achievement or recognition in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or other technical advance or recognition want to use a custom science pin to commemorate a major advance in a more serious or thoughtful way.
